Job Responsibilities

You will, together with other case handlers, judges, and notaries, be responsible for managing the court's cases and matters based on a process-oriented working method. The work includes, among other things, registering and assigning incoming cases and matters, issuing summons to parties and others for court hearings, writing minutes, and dispatching judgments and decisions. Other administrative tasks that may be included are handling appeals as well as archiving and record-keeping.

In the role of court case handler, you will have a lot of contact with both the public and professional actors within the legal system, such as prosecutors and lawyers. Once you have gained sufficient experience, there is the possibility that you, after special delegation, may independently make decisions on certain procedural actions. The position also includes some scheduled work during weekends in emergency court.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • at least a high school education
  • experience in administration and service from court work, law firms, or other comparable activities
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
  • good computer skills

It is an advantage if you have completed training as a Paralegal and also have experience from corresponding work in the legal chain as well as experience with digitized working methods.

We place great importance on your personal qualities as the work requires flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. The ability to work collaboratively with others, create good relationships, and have a holistic perspective on the operation is a prerequisite.

About Us

Ystad District Court is a court with about 40 employees. The court is centrally located in Ystad with good communication to nearby areas such as Malmö and Lund. The court handles criminal cases, civil cases, bankruptcies, and other court matters. Ystad District Court strives to be perceived as a modern court that values a good working environment, a positive approach both internally and externally, and a high level of service.
